IQ Technology Associates, LLC is the exclusive sales and technical agent for IQ Technologies Inc. in Mexico, South America and the Pacific Rim countries. Intensive quenching, as performed using IntensiQuench patented system designs is a novel, alternative method of hardening steel to achieve a martensitic case with very high compressive stresses. This exciting quenching technology is usually performed with water or aqueous salt solutions and therefore is fire safe, biodegradable and a relatively non-toxic process that provides very fast and uniform part cooling that actually reduces the probability of part cracking and distortion while improving the surface hardness and durability of steel parts. Intensive quenching processes have been shown to provide results superior to induction hardening or carburizing. We invite you to learn more about this important and little-known technology by down loading the IntensiQuench Process Theory and Applications file. Please contact us sales@getottenassociates.com for your closest area representative and to participate in a test quench program. To participate in this program, all you need to do is to provide us with the part type, cross-section size, alloy and hardness requirements and we will then arrange for a computer simulation validation that this technology is appropriate for you. If it is, we will then arrange to test-quench actual parts of steel that you will supply. |
